Quality Department

The Quality Department focuses on the value of the patient’s presence in a healthier life, including improving clinical outcomes, patient experience, and safety.

The Quality Department is responsible for implementing quality and safety programs and obtaining the International Accreditation for Health Institutions (JCI) certification through monitoring and analyzing the employee’s performance at Ibn Sina Specialist Hospital with monthly reports to maintain the application of quality standards at the facility level within the hospital. Collecting, analyzing data, and maintaining the application of policies and procedures by communicating with the (medical and non-medical staff) through General and Departmental orientation, education, and training lectures; To improve the key performance indicators.

Quality Vision helps establish operational performance measurements, monitoring trends, and KPIs to assess effectiveness, reliability, efficiency, etc. By using the available information systems data. It also works in cooperation with the various departments within the hospital to ensure the incident reporting system (medical and non-medical incidents), coordination, and maintenance of various aspects of infrastructure safety by means of a risk management program and conducting internal audits and risk analysis.

Performance Analysis

A number of performance indicators measure the Quality to ensure high standards of the health care services provided within the hospital.

More than 1,350 standards are applied, according to the Joint Commission International (JCI) it including:

Unplanned readmissions to hospital.
The Mortality rate.
Chart Review.
Patient satisfaction, experience, and complaints.
KPIs for Specialties.
KPIs for Infection prevention and control.
KPIs for Safety.
KPIs for Medical and non-medical staff performance.

Director of Quality Department

Mr. Mohammad Mhameed

Director of Quality Department

Mr. Mhameed specializes in the field of Nursing Science and Quality Management for health institutions, with more than 14 years of experience, currently, he is the Director of the Quality Department at the Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital.

Mr. Mhameed is responsible for maintaining the facility's system-wide quality program; including data collection, aggregating and analyzing data, maintaining policies and procedures, and reporting to administrators and the board.

Prior to joining Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital, Mr. Mhameed held several positions in the health sector such as Quality Officer, Head Nurse, and Registered Nurse. Worked at the Istishari Arab Hospital - Ramallah, Saad Specialized Hospital – KSA, Alwatani Governmental Hospital - Nablus, Arab Specialized Hospital – Nablus, and Arab Medical Center – Jordan.

Mr. Mhameed graduated from the Faculty of Nursing at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Completed his Master’s Degree in Policies and Health Management (Quality and Patient Safety) from Al-Quds University - Palestine. Also Mr. Mhameed Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
