Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The neonatal intensive care unit at Ibn Sina Hospital is specialized in providing health care for newborns and infants with any diseases, especially serious ones, in which the child is transferred to the birth unit to conduct the initial examinations and to be provided by the necessary care and follow up on his health after leaving the unit in the hospital’s outpatient clinics.

The prematurity and newborn unit, which consists of 30 incubators, is one of the best-equipped units in the region. It is equipped with the latest technology, medical devices, and facilities for patients and their families, such as waiting areas for children’s families and rooms for breastfeeding. Children staying in the hospital are followed up by a qualified medical staff of neonatologists and nurses in cooperation with doctors from other specialties and departments such as the Department of Hematology, Cardiology, Neurology, General Surgery, Endocrinology and Pediatric Diabetes Department.

Specialist in Pediatrics and Neonatology

Dr. Rami Jamal Abuhajji is a pediatrician and specialist neonatologist with more than 7 years of experience. Currently he is the Head of Pediatrics and neonatal intensive care Department at Ibn Sina Specialized hospital.
Prior to joining Ibn Sina Specialized hospital in Jenin, Dr. Abuhajji worked at Specialty Hospital & Amman Surgical Hospital as pediatrician and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, Riyadh - KSA, as specialist neonatologist.
Dr. Abuhajji graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Al-Quds University - Abu Dies, Jerusalem - Palestine, and then he joined the specialization program in the department of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Specialty Hospital, Amman - Jordan.
