The Department of Cardiology and Coronary Catheterization at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital is one of the leading centers in cardiology in Palestine. It consists of the intensive care unit, the intermediate care unit, the interventional catheterization room, and the cardiology clinic.

The Department of Cardiology specializes in treating heart diseases and blood vessels such as heart attacks, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, implantation of pacemakers, heart detonators, and catheter aortic valves. Doctors in the cardiology clinic perform heart examinations, blood pressure measurements, and electrocardiograms (TEE and TTE types). Doctors in the cardiology clinic perform heart examinations, blood pressure measurements, and electrocardiograms (TEE and TTE types), in addition to some more comprehensive tests such as echocardiography (cardiac sonar), and cardiac holter examinations that record heart electrical activities for 24 hours. Dr. Shaker Nierat

specialist in Interventional Cardiologist and Internal Medicine

Dr. Shaker Nierat is an Interventional Cardiologist Specialist and Internal Medicine Specialist, currently he is the head of Cardiology Department at Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital.
Prior to joining Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital- Jenin. he worked at different clinics and hospitals in Palestine and Jordan.
Dr. Nierat graduated from the Faculty of Medicine – Al-Quds University. Did his specialization in Internal Medicine at Al Makassed Hospital and he continued fellow ship program in interventional cardiology at Jordan university hospital.
